NYC FOODIE QUICK BITE: LLAMA INN

April 12, 2016 Josh Beckerman

Modern Peruvian fare awaits you in Williamsburg, Brooklyn at Llama Inn. It's a great restaurant, with unique flavors that I haven't found anywhere else in NYC. It's worth the trip.

Start with some anticucho. My head on shrimp and chicken thigh were fabulous! Then try quite possibly the best quinoa dish in NYC. It comes with banana, avocado, bacon, and cashew. It's amazing.

Of course if you are doing Peruvian, you must do ceviche. Golden Tile Ceviche with lime, dashi, plantain, habanero, red onion, and cilantro was #perfection.

Black lentils come with oyster and maitake mushrooms, poached egg, and kale. #Delicious

Llama Inn has two large portion dishes. I opted for their Whole Roasted Chicken with fried potatoes and aji sauces. I enjoyed the flavor of the chicken immensely. I just think there were way too many potatoes for this dish ($40).

You can end with a nice chocolate, lucuma, coffee dessert, and your trip to Peru by way of Brooklyn, will be complete.
